The Effectiveness of a feminist-informed individualised counselling intervention for the treatment of eating disorders: a case series study

A research team made up of Jess (Research Administrator), Belinda (CEO), and Dr. Yvette Miller (QUT) released a paper titled ‘The Effectiveness of a feminist-informed individualised counselling intervention for the treatment of eating disorders: a case series study,’ published in the Journal of Eating Disorders.

The article was based on de-identified data collected from clients participating in individual therapy between 2018 and 2021. Analysis of this data found that the feminist-informed, individual treatment approach that EDQ uses is beneficial for reducing ED symptomology and improving various features of mental health recovery. This is the first time that EDQ’s specific approach to individual therapy has been formally analysed and evaluated with data, with thanks to EDQ’s ongoing partnership with QUT.
