NAIDOC Week 2021

NAIDOC Week celebrates the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

This year’s theme, Heal Country, invites us to consider the land we live on, the land that supports us. ‘Care for Country’, the artwork chosen for this year’s NAIDOC poster, is a bright and vibrant artwork by Gubbi Gubbi artist Maggie-Jean Douglas. The artwork explores how Country has cared for and healed First Nations people spiritually, physically, emotionally, socially and culturally. How can we support Country?

EDQ sits on Yuggera country, close to Musgrave Park – a location of great historical and current cultural significance. We invite you to acknowledge the owners of the land you visit.

Sovereignity was never ceded, and this always was, and always will be Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander land.
