NAIDOC event held in Musgrave Park

NAIDOC is a weeklong event held to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.  This year we were invited to be a part of the event held in Musgrave Park with various stalls, entertainment and activities for attendees. Our presence in this event (held on 22/07/2022) allowed people to ask about our services and share their experiences with eating disorders in a safe and inclusive environment.

Despite the rain and muddy conditions, as well as the changed date of the event itself, we saw a great turnout with many people coming down to enjoy NAIDOC and have a chat finding information about the various support services EDQ can provide. Many enjoyed a chat over lollies and fruit, with multiple laughs and positive feedback about our magnets encouraging positive diet culture and body image. Can’t wait to be back next year!
