Due to the evolving concerns regarding COVID-19 Eating Disorders Queensland (EDQ) has been in consultation with Queensland Health to identify the best methods to deliver safe support to our clients.
EDQ has made the difficult decision to postpone all groups for the short term, effective Tuesday the 17th of March. We will continue to offer Peer Support Group by video (ZOOM) rather than in person. We acknowledge that this might be disappointing or disruptive to the recovery journey. But we are dedicated to providing you with support through this challenging time.
Each of you will be offered individual support or counselling by one of EDQ’s Eating Issues Practitioners, Support Worker or Family and Carer Coaches. This support/counselling will be offered in person, or via video conferencing (ZOOM) and telephone. We will contact each of you individually to discuss your preferences.
If you decide to attend in person, please see EDQ’s current response to COVID-19 here. We will update our response as needed and keep all clients informed.
Through our social media and website resources we will be providing a range of different support strategies for managing anxiety at this time.
We will keep you updated with EDQ’s service delivery changes.
Please get in touch via (07) 3844 6055, or the web enquiry form if you have any questions or concerns. Otherwise, we will be in touch with you over the next couple of days.
