EDQ Launches First Ambassador Program to Advocate for Mental Health, Eating Disorders, and Body Image Awareness

EDQ is excited to announce the launch of our first ambassador program, focused on promoting mental health, raising awareness around eating disorders, advocating for positive body image, and creating meaningful change. This inaugural ambassador will help lead our efforts in breaking down stigmas, sharing valuable insights, and fostering supportive conversations within the community.

As we look to the future, EDQ aims to continue expanding this initiative by welcoming additional ambassadors who share our mission and vision. Together, we hope to reach more people, educate communities, and empower individuals to feel confident, understood, and supported. With each new voice, we strengthen our commitment to spreading awareness and making a lasting impact.

Chelsea Blissett

Current EDQ Ambassador

As a talented Brisbane Roar soccer player, Chelsea knows the power of resilience and the importance of mental health.

Having navigated her own journey with an eating disorder, she’s committed to spreading awareness and advocating for others facing similar challenges. Her hopes are to break the stigma and create a supportive community for all!

Q: How do you think we can better promote mental health awareness, and advocacy for eating disorders within the community?

“I think we can be better at advocating by just continuing to create safe spaces and create awareness around eating disorders. Making sure people know that they aren’t alone and what they are going through has a light at the end of the tunnel. People need more understanding of eating disorders in their entirety so people don’t feel ashamed of themselves and can seek help to understanding ears”.
