We’ve had two new cooking volunteers join our team this year! Paula and Azure (pictured) have been assisting with cooking fresh, homemade meals for in-person our groups.
Our amazing volunteers cook for our Community Table group. Qualified Eating Disorder Practitioners facilitate Community Table. It is designed for those with a variety of eating disorders. As part of each session, the group shares a meal prepared by our volunteers. The Community Table uses a semi-structured approach, allowing time for pre- and post-meal activities, as well as the flexibility to explore a variety of different topics and skills that may be beneficial to recovery.
The Community Table is a closed group of 6-8 individuals, who meet once a week for 5 weeks. The group sessions are three hours in length and currently run over the lunch period.

Meals and snacks are also supplied for our other in-person groups, including Peer Support Group, Plug-In, 10-Week Group, Yoga, and all of our Carer events.
We are so grateful for our volunteers who dedicate their time to cooking delicious food for our clients! If you’re interested in joining our volunteer team, can confidently cook independently (recipes and ingredients supplied!) in our kitchen, and are available during weekdays, please contact us on [email protected].
