bITE will prioritise clients on waitlists, in regional and remote areas, and early onset of an eating disorder.
After completion of the bITE program, EDQ’s care navigator will navigate clients into EDQ’s existing programs, or other community treatment supports. Individuals will NOT lose their space on our waitlist for longer term therapeutic interventions.

The bITE Program package can be delivered over 15 weeks within community treatment spaces in Queensland and for maximal reach, via telehealth platforms like TEAMS and ZOOM.

The program is client-centred and flexible to individual needs, with clients able to remove some support elements to ensure the program is more tailored towards their stage of recovery.

Stage 1: Connect

11 weeks

• Wise Choices Group – manualised 11-session group program co-facilitated by a Brief Intervention workers
• Individual Acceptance Commitment Therapy – manualised 6 sessions with a Brief Intervention Worker

Stage 2: Nourish

4 weeks

One Bite at a Time – manualised 4-week introductory Meal Support Group, manualised by Lived Experience registered dietician and co-facilitated a Brief Intervention Worker and a Lived Experience Worker

Stage 3: EDQ Care Navigator

Navigation into EDQ’s existing programs, or other community treatment supports.
