bITE - Brief Intervention/Therapy for Eating Disorders

bITE – Brief Intervention/Therapy for Eating Disorders

“The most helpful part for me was having someone to talk to whom I felt safe and comfortable with. My practitioner was so kind and came up with such helpful strategies that resulted in me being able to try my fear food.”

bITE will prioritise clients on waitlists, in regional and remote areas, and early onset of an eating disorder.
After completion of the bITE program, EDQ’s care navigator will navigate clients into EDQ’s existing programs, or other community treatment supports. Individuals will NOT lose their space on our waitlist for longer term therapeutic interventions.

The bITE Program package can be delivered over 15 weeks within community treatment spaces in Queensland and for maximal reach, via telehealth platforms like TEAMS and ZOOM.

The program is client-centred and flexible to individual needs, with clients able to remove some support elements to ensure the program is more tailored towards their stage of recovery.
