ANZAED 2022 Conference

The Australia and New Zealand Association of Eating Disorders (ANZAED) 2022 Conference was held at The International Convention Centre (ICC), Darling Harbour Sydney and will bring together delegates from Australia, New Zealand and the Asia-Pacific region. The conference celebrated their 20th anniversary and was themed ‘Broadening Our Horizons’ to celebrate and acknowledge the wonderful achievements of ANZAED over the past two decades and embrace the challenge of increasing the reach and effectiveness of eating disorder prevention and treatment into the future.

EDQ team members at the conference

EDQ was a gold partner sponsor at the ANZAED Conference with several members of our team in attendance and four presentations over the course of the conference (August 11th and 12th). These consisted of:

  • An Interactive Workshop entitled Developing a Framework to Integrate Lived Experience into a Service Model for Eating Disorders and was presented by Rohie Marshall and Lisa Kelly
  • An Oral Presentation on Evaluating the effectiveness of a feminist-informed therapeutic intervention for the treatment of eating disorders in a community-based setting presented by Christophe Langlasse and Jess Tone. You can view the evidence discussed here.
  • An Oral Presentation that evaluated a solution-focus, skills-based intervention for carers of individuals with eating disorders presented by David Langford and Jess Tone
  • A Poster Presentation that evaluated a solution-focus, skills-based intervention for carers of individuals with eating disorders which was presented by Jess Tone. You can view that poster here.
